For those of you looking to store items without having to purchase a full&lt;br /&gt;
house to get a storage room, either because you can&amp;#039;t afford it, or having&lt;br /&gt;
a house simply does not interest you, you can now buy lockers!  This amazing&lt;br /&gt;
new service just off the Dzur room in the Refreshment Room allows you to &lt;br /&gt;
purchase a locker of various avilable sizes, accessable only by you.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Lockers are available to everybody, buy are targeted towards newer players.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Always shrewd businessmen, the old antiquities dealers from around the land&lt;br /&gt;
have sent out their finest treasure hunters to the desolation of Midgaard.  &lt;br /&gt;
Amongst the rubble they managed to find a few small trinkets never before seen&lt;br /&gt;
in this world.  Hopefully they can generate enough revenue to send out more&lt;br /&gt;
search parties, as the treasure hunters revealed massive stores of wealth among&lt;br /&gt;
the dragon hordes.&lt;br /&gt;

The caretakers of the Refreshment Room have opened a new Arcade off the&lt;br /&gt;
Teckla room.  In there players can &amp;quot;play&amp;quot; games with the &amp;quot;play&amp;quot; command&lt;br /&gt;
(much the same way Books work).  To leave a game you use the recall&lt;br /&gt;
command the same as a book.  The first game they have decided to open is &lt;br /&gt;
Candyland.  It is a lower level game (levels 5 - 15).  Enjoy the game!&lt;br /&gt;

In an attempt to prove themselves not too trendy, the populace has begun &lt;br /&gt;
studying the effects of swirling colors on children.  This occurrence has &lt;br /&gt;
discovered a new land awaiting children of all ages.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Rumours have begun flowing of a large number of people sneaking around &lt;br /&gt;
Arinorn&amp;#039;s forests.  I wonder what they are looking for.&lt;br /&gt;

---- 04/04/2004 ----&lt;br /&gt;
There&amp;#039;s been an earthquake!  Largly affected are underground structures,&lt;br /&gt;
most notibly the Midgaard Metro system.  The Sorcerers are studying the&lt;br /&gt;
actual impact.  They believe it could be caused by all the contenetal &lt;br /&gt;
shift that has been going on for no as of yet apparent reason.  The&lt;br /&gt;
Midgaard Metro system has been shutdown until the tunnels can be cleared.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
---- 03/30/2004 ----&lt;br /&gt;
   Reports from the Frigid Wastelands are saying that a massive blizzard &lt;br /&gt;
has been ravaging the area surrounding the Snow Mountains for much of the &lt;br /&gt;
past year.  As a result of this the Monastery was forced to close its doors.  &lt;br /&gt;
In doing so, the inhabitants of the Monastery were able to hone in on their &lt;br /&gt;
skills and develop new techniques to ward off intruders.  The snow has &lt;br /&gt;
cleared and it appears that the gates will be reopened, so beware!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Much torment has happened through the land.  Midgaard has taken the hardest&lt;br /&gt;
hit.  Residents are forced to pack up and move their homes elsewhere.  Also&lt;br /&gt;
in the midst of the chaos, the guilds have started making more public their&lt;br /&gt;
own problems.  Read carefully the news of the land.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After the desolation caused by the dragons throughout the land, the most &lt;br /&gt;
powerful spellcasters, the Sorcerers and Wizards gathered in the High Tower &lt;br /&gt;
of Magic to discuss the reshaping of the land.  The Wizards, deeming &lt;br /&gt;
themselves beyond the Sorcerers in their magic felt this an opportunity to &lt;br /&gt;
gain dominance over the world through magical might.  The Sorcerers were &lt;br /&gt;
more concerned with the threat of such events happening again and desired &lt;br /&gt;
to focus on preventative measures to stop such a malicious attack in the &lt;br /&gt;
future.  After much debate and fighting, the Sorcerers cast away the Wizards &lt;br /&gt;
and stripped them of all spells that they had been granted by the Sorcerer &lt;br /&gt;
Guild.  The Wizards retreated to a secret location to rally and develop &lt;br /&gt;
magic more powerful than has ever been seen before in the land.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After the initial grief of the losses suffered by the rampaging horde of &lt;br /&gt;
dragons that tore apart Midgaard, the Clerics and Priests met in the Imperial &lt;br /&gt;
Palace to pray for the countless souls lost in the destruction.  After days &lt;br /&gt;
of praying the heads of the Cleric guild met to discuss the healing process &lt;br /&gt;
at hand.  Once the Priests learned of the secret meeting of the Clerics they &lt;br /&gt;
felt enraged at being left out of the discussion.  There has been growing &lt;br /&gt;
dissent between the two guilds for some time, as the Priests feel they are &lt;br /&gt;
superior to the Clerics in that the Clerics rely on mana taken from the land &lt;br /&gt;
for their powers, while the Priests pray to the heavens and are granted spells &lt;br /&gt;
when the gods feel them worthy.  During this meeting, the strife between the &lt;br /&gt;
two guilds reached its peak, and the Priests abandoned the Clerics seeking &lt;br /&gt;
new refuge, and renouncing all spells that the two guilds formerly shared.  &lt;br /&gt;
One of the High Priests was overheard as saying, &amp;quot;We will pray to our gods &lt;br /&gt;
for an entire arsenal of new and powerful spells, and the world will know &lt;br /&gt;
that their refuge will lie with those who serve the heavens, and not those &lt;br /&gt;
who are slaves to the land!&amp;quot;.  The Clerics, fearing that they would lose &lt;br /&gt;
support throughout the land in the wake of the dragons&amp;#039; attack, decided to &lt;br /&gt;
grant new spells to the Paladin guild in hopes of forming a loose alliance.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Not much can be said of the Ninja guild in the wake of the attacks, as they &lt;br /&gt;
have always moved in secret.  Witnesses have seen a large number of very &lt;br /&gt;
non-descript travelers make their way to the Nakimoto Forest.  It can only &lt;br /&gt;
be assumed that the Ninjas are honing their skills with the Elite Samurai&amp;#039;s &lt;br /&gt;
to help protect themselves in the event of any future attacks.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In a gathering held at the New Thalos Library, the members of the Psionicist &lt;br /&gt;
guild met to grieve over the loss of Midgaard.  They are increasingly upset &lt;br /&gt;
not only at the human loss, but also at the annihilation of the history and &lt;br /&gt;
knowledge held in the world&amp;#039;s most ancient city.  For fear of losing more &lt;br /&gt;
information to another such attack, the Psionicists are retreating to the &lt;br /&gt;
largest libraries in the land to train their minds and soak up as much &lt;br /&gt;
information as possible in the event of another major loss in the future.  &lt;br /&gt;
In their intense research and learning they are uncovering more powers than &lt;br /&gt;
they even thought possible, and the capabilities of their great minds are &lt;br /&gt;
growing even stronger.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In a morbid turn of events the Necromancers gained the most out of the recent &lt;br /&gt;
massacre at the hands of the dragons.  Mass amounts of corpses and souls are &lt;br /&gt;
now available for harvest by the masters of the dark.  Fueled with so many &lt;br /&gt;
test subjects, the Necromancers have developed many new and horrible methods &lt;br /&gt;
for raising the dead and enchanting corpses to do their bidding.  In their &lt;br /&gt;
explorative work they have also discovered methods of harnessing the very &lt;br /&gt;
shadows that inhabit the darkest reaches of the world.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mighty warriors from across the world were seen traveling towards the Forever &lt;br /&gt;
Plains where the heads of their Guild are meeting to discuss the recent &lt;br /&gt;
tragedies.  It has been learned that the Warriors&amp;#039; response to the recent &lt;br /&gt;
destruction of Midgaard is to train their skills in battle to the point that &lt;br /&gt;
no creature great or small will ever successfully assault this great land &lt;br /&gt;
again.  The Elders of the Guild have called upon their vast knowledge of &lt;br /&gt;
warcraft to bring out the ancient methods of combat and to spark new ideas &lt;br /&gt;
which should help the Warrior Guild to become a force to be reckoned with &lt;br /&gt;
for a long time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Thieves, sensing an opportunity at hand, have retreated to the shadowed &lt;br /&gt;
alleys of Bengloarford, where they have been practicing their sneaky arts &lt;br /&gt;
and refining their abilities.  One of the Master Thieves was overheard &lt;br /&gt;
saying, &amp;quot;Once the dragons left, there was chaos, bedlam, and the Thieves &lt;br /&gt;
reaped the harvest!  We nicked everything the dragons passed over, and once &lt;br /&gt;
the shops are up and running we&amp;#039;ll sell them at twice their value!&amp;quot; Travelers &lt;br /&gt;
be warned to keep their changepurses close, as the Thieves will be out in &lt;br /&gt;
droves as things settle back to normal.&lt;br /&gt;

The Guild of Clerics and Priests have closed up shop for the time being.&lt;br /&gt;
They have grown weary of the Gods withdrawing their protection from Midgaard&lt;br /&gt;
and do not have the patience to answer their followers questions.  They will&lt;br /&gt;
return once they have discovered the answers.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

The Gods have withdrawn their protection from Midgaard.  Priests and &lt;br /&gt;
Clerics are at a loss for an explanation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Real-estate Agent in Skara Brae has received word about the Gods &lt;br /&gt;
withdrawing their protection from Midgaard.  He no longer feels safe &lt;br /&gt;
letting people change their hometown to Midgaard.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
