==re: Gargamel==
I am afraid the particulars on this subject are way beyond my grasp.  I would have a much better understanding of all of it after actually playing it.  But for the most part it seems like it would be a fantastic addition.  I only fear that the whole outdoor regen being affected by the time of day in the mud would be complex and prone to bugs. I am sure you have something figured out to for this tho or else it wouldn't be in there.
Well, who in their right mind would play a dwarven cleric? Anyone who has ever played D & D knows dwarves just don't play clerics. See my dwarf ideas, etc (that is if i remembered to actually post them, if not i'll do it when i get home from work tonight)

Another thing would be to give the race perm fly in addition to the sense life and det invis, but depending on what level they get batform the point could be moot.

Concerning blood point use from hunger and thirst, would !hunger and !thirst items on the mud work for vampires?  or are we going to have to add new object flags?

Ok, so this is the Vampire race in it's current design.

What do we think?

Comments? suggestions? likes? dislikes?

What say ye?

Garg's Vamp Feedback

- remove any fountains in the game that have blood as their liquid (this would lead to unlimited amount of replenishing blood/bloodpoints)

- spell/skill "bite" - you bite the mob giving them a poisoned effect for a short duration (similar idea to the instrument of nife spell for paladins .. the damage increases over time for the duration of the spell). This could be expanded so that each of the "forms" get's a version of the bite, for increasing damage by level. For instance, at the lowest level, the "bite" could last for say 10 rounds of combat, starting at 1 damage per round, increasing by 2 damage per round until the end of the fight, or the 10 rounds are up.. totalling 19 damage over 10 rounds (i think)...

- a combination version of heal/vamp touch, where instead of draining the mobs hps to add to your max hp, it acts as a healing hps.

- (this is gonna be bitchy) make it so they CAN'T be effected by mirror image/reflection; they're VAMPIRE's for chrissakes!

- with all the spells/skills that we're outlining, is this race going to be too powerful compared with the other races? this is shaping up to almost be big enough to be a class...just commenting

ok, so subjects are required in order to make sense :P

Good points... the class thing though, it seems like it could become one, but there's not enough spells/ skills to make it a full class. Of course, we could tone back some and give it less. The main skills would be the biting and so forth.

What if some of the skills were only available say, to necro? or maybe Anti-Paladin?

re: brazil

That's not a bad idea.. that's the one main limiting thing with the races we have right now... they're basically categorized. Fighter types=dwarf, Mages=elf. Vamp appears to be able to benefit each side in turn. But if each race had a speciffic spell/skill set that complimented each class, there might actually be some reason for someone to play a dwarven cleric.
