Christmas 2009

Just a page to start jotting down ideas for this years Xmas quest. Will also place final details in here (when there are some!).

Probably need something with varied difficulty. Maybe between Halloween and Thanksgiving in terms of quality/quantity/difficulty.

Be wary of mud-wide or easy zone random loads. Maybe mix it up this year, try to get people in places they don't normally go?

Don't forget a poem!!

Do I want to consider using the quest system? Would help in limiting the potential for good items, but it's more of a pain to create...

As much as I'd like to, I probably shouldn't dust off an old quest and recylce it .. unless it got a major overhaul..

Hmmm... never did a Dickens/Christmas Story themed quest before... 3 ghosts? Tiny Tim? Scrooge? Has some promise... Maybe two parts ... Ghosts load pieces to make a floating item, intended for higher levels. Tiny Tim/Scrooge/Bob Cratchet/others(?) load pieces that assemble other medium->lower level items?

Maybe some random loading food quest items? Christmas Cookies?

'Twas right around Christmas And all through the land, A new quest was unleashed With a wave of my hand.

I'm tapping on a Classic For the enjoyment of all This quest is intended For levels great and small.

For the vets of the MUD Three ghosts are now free To wander our lands And spread holiday glee.

For ghost number one, You'll have to be crafty, He's from Christmas past And he's definitely nasty.

According to legend, The ghost that is second Has always been found During Christmas present.

The biggest unknown Is ghost number three, Since he is the spirit Of Christmas yet to be.

For those of our players Whose remorts are few, Part two of this quest Is specially for you.

Remember the story Charles Dickens created. The rest of this quest Is "Carol" related.
