Some things to consider:

• Do we want to make all spells scrollable?
  • Things like lloyds beacon, which is remort only; other specialized types of spells like timefold; high powered spells like Word of Souls, Burrowing Digits, etc.
  • We dont want to make certain classes obsolete by turning them into scrollmakers only, and having players blast away at everything with a fully scrolled up psi or ninja.

• This obviously would have the potential for "botting" issues, so we'd have to be on the lookout for that.

• I do kind of like the idea of having the limited abiltiy to create "grant" scrolls.. that's something we really haven't done enough with.

• Is there going to be some kind of time penalty to scribe? Or just mana penalties? The mana penalties might not be all that steep, with elven mages having up over 1300 mana, and zealous regen as well. Something to consider...

I would love to hear more ideas on limitations because the mana regen.

I've been putting thought into it, but I haven't been able to come up with anything I like. Including more components, like a quill and inkwell, which eventually runs out, but I wasn't sure if that wasn't just more annoying that useful.

I'm with you on psionicists. I didn't want to immediately discount them until someone else gave feedback, in case I was crazy.

Did you have thoughts on what spells to limit? Now that I think about psi's, the normal OLC code I think limits almost all PSI spells from being put on scrolls, so allowing psi's to be scrollmaker's would be useless.
