Objects

What do objects require? Weight... and stats... but what makes a perfect object design? Do we need a sword that can hold two doses of detect invis? Addding material "types" to items has been talked about (Metal, Wood, etc), but does that go too far? Would we wind up with a lot of leather and cloth type items? Or would cloth get broken down into velvet, cotton, etc? Insane.

    • I think that basic weapon types of metals gives us a wider range of limitations and an ability to make more racial and class separations, like steel, wood, iron, silver. Things like this would make certain weapons have innate strengths against certain races like wood would be stronger against Vamps, silver against Werewolf (if we had it as a race, etc etc) As far as types for armor and clothing-i don't think we should go as far as splitting down cloth, but there should be basic ones-cloth, leather, mail, steel. We would be the ones who would set the bases and of course check items like we always need to. Just my two cents.
